What Type Of Patios We Repair In Ashbourne
Subsidence can cause slabs to sink or become uneven, which creates trip hazards and spoils the look of your outdoor space. We carefully lift the affected areas, rebuild the base layers properly, and relay the slabs to the correct levels and falls.
Cracked or broken slabs can happen for many reasons. A heavy object may have been dropped, frost may have taken its toll, or settlement may have put stress on particular pieces. We can replace individual slabs, although matching the existing stone perfectly is not always possible, especially with natural materials that vary from batch to batch.
When pointing fails, water can get in and weeds can take hold. We rake out the deteriorated mortar and repoint with care, sealing the joints against the elements while keeping enough flexibility to help prevent future cracking.
Sometimes a patio has not been installed correctly from the start. Incorrect falls, inadequate bases or unsuitable materials for the location can mean repairs only offer a temporary fix. We will always be honest with you about whether a simple repair or a lift and relay of the patio area makes better long term sense.
We also take care of smaller jobs, such as relevelling sunken areas near buildings, improving drainage, or replacing damaged edging that has allowed the patio to spread over time. Sorting these issues early helps prevent bigger problems from developing later.
Alongside our patio repairs, we offer other options, including new patio installations in Ashbourne, limestone patio installations and more.
